Quaife Type 9, 5 speed gearbox

This is a competition proven gearbox, built to take 300bhp/ 250lbsft – it has been lightened and weighs over 1kg less than a standard ford gear kit. Heavy duty mainshafts and layshaft pins, with needle roller 1st & 2nd gears as standard and Manganese phosphate coating to 3rd & 5th gears, (OE coating) this helps prevent gears seizing on the main shaft.

The gear ratios are as follows 1st 2.2 – 2nd 1.54 – 3rd 1.21 – 4th 1:1 – 5th 0.87.

Gearbox is fitted with alloy top cover and was used with a 2.0 Duratec engine for single venue events, before being serviced and then replaced by a Sadev box.

Box is is first class condition, with no damage or oil leaks and is ready to fit and use.
